Weapons are a staple of Martial Arts training in most dojos across the globe, and excellence, skill and tenacity with weapons is the goal of this competitive session of the WWG Olympiad.

The weapons selected by WWG for battle are based on:

Bo-Staff: 6-Ft long wooden staff

Jo-Staff: 4-Ft long wooden staff

Escrima: Filipino derived 2 ½ Ft long rattan or wooden baton

Kali Blades: Filipino derived knives, used sometimes with Escrima

Tonfa: Okinawan derived wooden weapon

Kama: Okinawan derived sickle

Kusari-Gama: Okinawan derived sickle on a long wooded handle with a ball / chain

Kusari-Fundo: Okinawan derived chain with a ball at both ends

Sai: Okinawan derived weapon as defense against sword

Katana: Samurai sword weapon

Ninja-To: Ninja Sword weapon

Kukri: Burmese derived machete
