the Competition

Competitors / combatants go through a grueling process of combat in their countries, in their individual weight categories to reach the final rounds whereby the winner is determined by an accumulation of points and their final performance or outright knockout or submission. The overall winner of the preliminary rounds, known as the “Warrior Rounds!”, is determined by the judges who review all weight categories and evaluate a final round performance of the competitor as they battle in the ‘mass attack’ combat scenario against multiple attackers, a kata (form) performance (unarmed and weapons) and psyche / personality review based on a question / answer process.

20 combat competitors shall be allowed to represent each country. Up to 30 martial arts competitors will be allowed to represent each country in the other categories: Breaking, Striking, Takedowns, Weapons Kata, Weapons Wielding [Throwing, Drawing, Cutting] and Best Self-Defense Technique [both armed & unarmed].
